Welcome back to college, I hope you all had a nice relaxing break. We have a lot planned for you this year so keep your eyes peeled on these newsletters!
It’s been a while hasn’t it? We are starting off this week with a more casual event to welcome you all back. We will have a handheld console games night on Wednesday the 17th of January from 2-3pm in L114. Feel free to bring along your own console and any extra controllers if you have them!
Our first Hackerclub of the semester will be taking place on Wednesday the 17th of January from 1-2pm in L114. We will giving you an introduction to Python Object Oriented Programming. If you haven’t learned about OOP before, or need a refresher then this is the event for you!
The Redbrick hoodies have arrived! If you ordered one, they will be available for collection from Monday the 15th of January. Either drop into the Redbrick common room or contact a committee member to arrange collection.
If you haven’t already, make sure to join our Discord server to interact with fellow brickies and the committee.

This week’s main event is a nice chill one to ease you all back into the swing of college. We will be playing games such as Mario Kart, Overcooked, Moving Out, etc. If you have a console or extra controllers feel free to bring them along! The gaming will take place on Wednesday the 17th of January from 2-3PM in L114. We hope to see you there!

This week’s hackerclub will be all about how to use object oriented programming in Python. We will be covering the basics of classes, objects and more. Get ready and come down to L114 on Wednesday the 17th of January from 1-2pm. No previous experience is needed!
